Selection and training of teachers

The Tigray Teachers Association (TTA) plays an active role in advocating for and contributing to the effective selection and training of teachers in the Tigray region. The association works closely with the Ministry of Education and other relevant bodies to ensure that teacher recruitment, deployment, and professional development programs are aligned with the region’s educational needs and the aspirations of its members. The TTA provides input on the development of teacher training curricula, certification requirements, and continuous professional development opportunities to help enhance the quality and competence of the teaching workforce. Additionally, the association monitors the implementation of teacher selection and training policies, advocating for transparency, fairness, and equal opportunities in these processes.
