The TTA unites and represents teachers, education professionals, and workers to promote equitable and quality education, defend members' rights, and address matters related to promotion, transfer, and educational opportunities
Strengthen unity of the Association by bringing together and organizing teachers. Education professionals and workers in education institutions in the country under the Association without any discrimination on the ground of race. Ethnic. Religion and gender.
Shall represent the Association and forward comments |decisions| in the efforts to be made thereof for the provision of equitable and quality education for citizens.
Take appropriate measure by intervening in member associations upon approval of concerned body in the case of any act of misappropriation or embezzlement of the association or members. Any act that may destabilize unity of member associations and when the yare unable to protect ribhte of members opon petition by members or evidence submitted by Executive committee or Audit Committee.
Follow up appropriate performance of duties and responsibilities of teachers and make efforts to ensure modifications in working conditions whenever deemed necessary.
Carry out integrated efforts to foster democratic leadership and procedures in educational leadership of schools a tall-levels. And strengthen participation of teachers.
Coordinate efforts to create enabling conditions for active participation of members in education sector activates and performance of their professional duties; and engage members in discussions on matters related to education and the association.

Represent the Association in defending the rights of members in the structures of Ministry of Education. Civil service. Government organizations. On governmental organizations and international institutions in dealing with matters related to education and members and other related matters including promotion. transfer. educational opportunities, etc.
Organize evaluation meetings and executive committee, Council and General Assembly meetings or members of the Association.
Follow up appropriate implementation of laws. Regulations and rules etc. issued to protect the right of members. And provide appropriate support for lawful activities of leadership bodies structured at all lavels.
Evaluate education policies. Regulations and directives a tall-levels to ensure that these are balanced and democratic and play appropriate role for their implementation.
Contribute to creation of favorable environment for development and refinement of education and training policy and curriculum which protect democratic and human rights and the rights of children to attend education in mother tongue.
Contribute to the ongoing effort to ensure the delivery of quality up to the standard.
