MAMET Executive Committee discusses with Tigray Interim Administration President Getachew Reda

The Tigray Teachers Association (TTA) has been asking the relevant authorities regarding the rights and benefits of teachers in a coordinated and systematic manner. However, the teachers have been taking different actions in organized and unorganized manner due to the lack of clear and transparent answers to these issues raised by the teachers.  5 months of 2015 salary arrears
 2014 12 months salary arrears
 Microfinance deferred interest loans
 Discussing the issue of transportation service of teachers in Mekelle city
It was agreed that the payment of the 5 months salary of 2015 will start soon. Another 12-month salary arrears for 2014 is being requested by the federal government.
President Getachew Reda said he will hold discussions with relevant authorities regarding the arrears of interest on the loan.
